Peanut Butter Squares

Peanut Butter Slices
 
2 cups crushed Corn Flakes (not too fine, about 4 cups before crushing)
1 cup rice Krispies (not crushed)
1 heaping cup peanut butter
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup corn syrup
 
Combine Corn flakes, rice krispies and peanut butter in a large bowl. Melt ½ cup brown sugar and 1.2 cup corn syrup over hot water. Pour over the peanut butter mixture. Mix well. Press into 9x12” pan. Cover with icing and melted chocolate.

Mock Whipped Cream Icing
8 tbsp butter, softened
12 tbsp icing sugar
2 tbsp milk or ½ and ½, scant
2 tbsp boiling water, scant
Cream butter and sugar together until creamy. Add milk slowly and keep beating. Add boiling water (must be boiling) a little at a time, beating all the time. Add vanilla to taste. The icing will get watery but it will thicken and go fluffy after ~5 min. Perfect to use.
